Ghosting Email that steals your cash

Ghosting Email that steals your valuable earning:

What is the threat: Nowadays, Scammers are hacking the email accounts of any bank employees so that, they can personify them during financial transactions, hocusing customers into sending them money. In these ghosting deceives, they waylay or intercept email discussions at a crucial point. Telling the cyber victim to send their money to a revised different account.

A recent incident in Britain, A farmer of Scotland, who has remained anonymous, recently lost thousands of pounds. Halfway through negotiating a loan with his bank to buy machinery from a dealer, He received an email supposedly from the bank asking him to send money to a different account to the previously given. This email seemed genuine and original because it came from the address of the bank employee in which he applied for the loan, and contained the correct contact details, plus the usual warning Beware of fraud.

Soon after, the dealer phoned the farmer to pursue the money. Thinking he had already sent it, the farmer contacted his bank, Which told him it hadn't processed the payment because he had stopped replying to their emails. It's improbable he will get the cashback.

Keen to alert others, the farmer contacted the Media, saying Having reviewed the emails, the only sign that an interloper had taken over the email conversation with the bank was very little change in writing style- something that we simply assumed was a banker typing in the busy hour. Security firms Report on this told that it has been a significant rise in the number of Phishing emails sent from the hacked account of the organisation-Not just Bank, but also universities, retailers.

How to Prevent: If you are in the middle of a financial transaction, such as remortgaging your home or releasing pension funds or any kind of loan, be on high alert for emails asking you to send money to you a new different bank account. Directly  Phone your bank or visit the bank branch straight away to check they are authentic or not.
